About
Paul Favello 1959 - 2017
Paul Favello was a Connecticut based artist who received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Paier College in 1993 and continued his education at the Lyme Academy of Fine Arts.
Paul worked in a variety of mediums ranging from oil paints, acrylics, printmaking, and photography.
He was mainly influenced by a minimalist/abstract approach to painting.
His process was a reductive method that pushed him to pare down and strip away all nonessential elements.
Removed from subject matter and narrative constraints, Paul used his materials at face value, allowing his process to find new forms of expression and abstraction.
Paul’s contemporary minimal designs combined energetic color, composition and textural depth.
